BLACKPINK postpones online concert “The Show” to 31 Jan as COVID-19 situation worsens

“The Show” has a new date on 31 Jan.

K-pop quartet BLACKPINK, consisting of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé has announced that their upcoming online concert “The Show” will be put off to 31 Jan 2021 (Sun), 2PM KST (1PM SGT).

The show was initially slated to take place after Christmas on 27 Dec.

As South Korea records more than 1000 infections for the second consecutive day. authorities have since tightened restrictions, banning gatherings and events of more than 10 people till 28 Dec, a huge drop from the original cap of 50 people.

“All members that have purchased access will be automatically and fully refunded”, said their agency YG Entertainment in an official notice.

Tickets for BLACKPINK’s “The Show” are now on sale via a new link and can be purchased on YouTube here. The package is SGD $40 (Standard) for a 2-month access.

“We’ll be back with a great performance on January 31st”, says vocalist Jisoo. Bandmate Lisa also hopes that the upcoming show will provide “some sort of comfort during these difficult times”.

After the quartet’s spectacular journey in 2019, as documented in their Netflix documentary “Light Up The Sky”, fans can keep their hopes up to see more from them.
