KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA — Up-and-coming South Korean idol group DreamNote, who is now under iMe Korea visited Malaysia last Saturday (12 Oct).
Earlier in the afternoon, the girls also met up with local media at a press conference held at The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur.
The trip was part of their promotion for their second album, titled Dream:Us along with their very first fan-meeting at Atria Shopping Gallery in Kuala Lumpur.
Sumin, Eunjo, Lara, Miso, Youi and Boni makes up DreamNote. What’s special is that the group has a special image of being “Teengle” (the combination of teenager and beagle).
During the visit, they girls performed their upbeat b-side Cong Cong (2019) for the very first time, along with their personal created for the song. Through their performance, they were able to bring out their unique image that exhibited their inner youthfulness.
The idol group also performed their title hits, Dream Note (2018) and Hakuna Matata (2019) on stage.
Despite the occurrence of a technical issue during their set, the girls kept their cool and continued to perform professionally without fright.
DreamNote held an autograph session which lasted for almost an hour. Malaysian fans were beyond excited that they were able to meet and interact with the idol group.
The girls from DreamNote also picked up some Bahasa Melayu along the way, starting off the press conference with greetings in Malay, Apa Khabar.
DreamNote, who has been continuously attempting cute concepts in the past shared that they would like to take on the challenge of a more charismatic and chic girl crush concept in the future. This genre is well received in South Korea because of the powerful dance movements with mass appeals.
The group’s second second single album, titled Dream:Us, was released in March earlier this year.
“We will soon return with a new album and will put in more effort in hopes to meet the Malaysian fans again in the future,” said leader Youi.
