For fans of K-Pop, what could make a trip to Seoul more special other than visiting iconic places where their favourite idols have stepped foot?
Well, DANITY are in luck as Seoul Tourism has launched a brand new course catered just for fans of Kang Daniel, former Wanna One member and the winner of Produce 101 Season 2.
He has since released a solo extended play (EP), Color on Me, and remains one of Korea’s hottest idols.
Named the DANITY tour, the course will take DANITY through places where Daniel Kang had filmed commercials and shows as well as the idol’s frequented restaurants.
1. The Piano
The tour kicks off at The Piano, a homemade dessert cafe near Bukhansan Mountain. This is known to be the filming location of Daniel Kang’s advertisement.
The cafe is quaint and tastefully decorated with rustic decorations made of wood and rocks from Bukhansan Mountain. For the active DANITY, perhaps it might be interesting to plan a hike up Bukhansan, one of the more challenging mountains to climb. Not to worry though, the view from the peak is well-worth it!
2. LH2
The next stop is LH2, located in Yeontral Park. This brunch cafe is where Daniel Kang filmed “Weekend Playlist” with actress and fan, Ra Mi-ran. The cafe serves dishes from around the globe such as cuisines from the United States, Italy, France, Spain and many others.
For those who are lucky enough, you might get to sit exactly where Daniel Kang sat! The surrounding area, Yeonnam-dong is also known for its abundance of insta-worthy cafes and bookstores. It’s a definite go-to for cafe-hoppers.
3. Mabong Lamb Skewers Yongsan Branch
The third stop is Mabong Lamb Skewers at Yongsan. The restaurant is covered Daniel Kang posters and stickers lovingly stuck on by DANITY.
The organisers recommend the sweet and sour Dongbei-style pork, more commonly known as the guobaorou, a dish that is great for first-timers who might not be used to the distinct aroma of lamb skewers.
4. Picky Papa Daniel Forest
Last but definitely not least, the final stop is Picky Papa Daniel Forest.
This is a unique concept created by DANITY themselves. The space serves as a common space for fans to gather, rest and interact to show their love and support for Kang Daniel.
The trees and flowers are planted and maintained by fans themselves, and the space’s interior is decorated with sweet, supportive messages for Daniel. This is no doubt a place for healing, relaxation and a huge dose of positivity.
