“Kingdom” Season 2 Will Be Available On Netflix In March

Blood will spill on 13 March.

Originally adapted from the webcomic series “The Kingdom of the Gods”, “Kingdom” was Netflix’s first original Korean series. The six-episode thriller premiered last January.

Ending with a cliffhanger finale, the show sets to make its comeback as a duology. Netflix announced that the second season will soon see its global premiere on 13 March.

The main poster, set in Korea’s Joseon dynasty, as well as an accompanying motion key art was unveiled in a press release.

The motion key art makes it clear that “Kingdom” is a historical sci-fi dyad. No doubt it’s a historical drama, but elements of a zombie apocalypse are blended in.

Links made to the finale of season one are evident. Main characters flee from an imminent onslaught by an army of zombies, as seen in the poster

Though desperate, they remain determined to pull through struggles that will entail in the second season of “Kingdom”.

With some additions to the plot like Min Chi-rok (Park Byung-eun), familiar characters such as Crown Prince Lee Chang (Ju Ji-hoon), Minister Cho Hak-ju (Ryu Seung-ryong) and more remain.

• “Kingdom” Season 2 is set to premiere globally on Netflix March 13.
