A new regional brand ambassador for global lifestyle and performance footwear brand Skechers has been unveiled. It’s none other than Cha Eun-woo.
Prior to the official announcement, the brand teased their newest ambassador last week through a short teaser video sent to the press.
“I am honoured and delighted to be named the new Skechers regional brand ambassador,” says the 25 year-old star.
He will be fronting several campaigns for the brand. This includes the Skechers Foamies and Skechers Workout Walker, to name a few.
As a sub-vocalist of K-pop boy band Astro, there is no doubt that having a comfortable pair of sneakers is necessary for his dance practices and gym sessions.
“Shoes are an important part of my life, not only as a fashion statement, but also because I enjoy dancing and working out,” he adds.

Cha is known for being an all-rounded artist. While he originally debuted as a vocalist in 2016, he also dabbles in acting. All with a hunky demeanour.
“His innate likeability, boyish demeanour and natural personable disposition are a perfect fit for Skechers,” says Zann Lee, managing director of Skechers Southeast Asia.
“With Eun-woo’s international popularity, we believe that this partnership will further boost Skechers’ brand recognition and younger consumers’ affinity towards our products,” she adds.
Previously, the brand tapped on South Korean actor Park Seo-joon and Chinese boy band WayV for their past campaigns.
Cha is also currently the face of some other beauty, food and luxury brands in the region.
He also recently played priest Yohan in action web series Island, where he was met with compliments from viewers for his acting and chemistry with co-stars.
The series was released on 30 Dec last year.
