Spotify reveals the most streamed K-Pop artist in Singapore and beyond

Unknowingly, we have marched in to the last month of 2018. You’ve guessed it, it’s THAT time of the year again where we collate all things that’ve been done throughout the 12 months and look forward for a better year.

But just before that, let’s wind down and take a few minutes to look back at what excatly gone down in the K-music scene this year.

According to a release from Spotify, they announced that the septet Bangtan Boys, better known as BTS, they are crowned as the most streamed K-Pop artist in 2018 not just in Singapore, but globally.

Additionally, the group is also given the position of the second most streamed group on the music platform with “FAKE LOVE” as the top K-Pop song with more than 175 million streams.

Their success is really no wonder, given their global mega success. Their new movie, Burn The Stage, also just launched in our shores not long ago, which documents all behind-the-scenes footage for their recent concert.

Other powerhouses like Blackpink, TWICE, Red Velvet as well as EXO also made it up on the list for the top 5 Most Streamed K-Pop Artists in Singapore. Check out the Best of 2018: K-Pop playlist below:
