TWICE reveals emotional journey to stardom in docu-series “Seize The Light”

TWICE reveals what goes behind their worldwide stardom in this new docu-series” Seize The Light”.

TWICE will keep you company during this #StayHome period with a docu-series, titled “Seize The Light” that will tug at your heartstrings. It will be released on YouTube starting 29 April at 11PM (KST).

This eight-part series documents their emotional journey to stardom, with their lesser-known struggles and fears behind their global success.

For most idol groups, the decision of which members qualify to be in the group is usually done behind closed doors. That was not the case for TWICE.

Instead, sixteen trainees battled it out through reality show “SIXTEEN” in 2015. The top nine formed TWICE.

They were Im Na-yeon, Yoo Jeong-yeon, Hirai Momo, Minatozaki Sana, Park Ji-hyo, Myoui Mina, Kim Da-hyun, Son Chae-young and Chou Tzu-yu.

These trainees were already closely scrutinised by the public eye, but their familiarity with the public fueled their success with their debut track, Like Ooh-Ahh (2015).

TWICE’s road to fame was met with countless hurdles in this saturated industry. “I regretted it on the first day I stepped in as a trainee,” Jeong-yeon says in an interview. But nonetheless, they have no regrets now.

Their camaraderie was exceptionally evident when vocalist Mina sat out group activities because of anxiety issues last year. Nevertheless, the group fought on hard as Mina took time to nurse her mental health.

“I really wanted all nine of us to be together,” Da-hyun tells fans onstage as she sheds tears. Overcoming the unexpected, the members have established solid trust with one another, because “whatever happens, we’re together’, Mina says.
